Jury's Announcement of the Second European Prize of Sacred Architecture |
The Judging Commission for the dissertation projects and for the final Masters' exam presented to the Second edition of the European Prize of Sacred Architecture - Foundation Frate Sole, year 2007, after examining the projects of the 70 participants, proclaimed winner of the Prize the project for a parish complex in Villasmundo (SR), dissertation of Sebastiano Adragna and Alessandro Mauro, discussed by the Faculty of Architecture of Siracusa by Università degli Studi of Catania (supervisors Profs. Bruno Messina and Vittorio Fiore). The Jury decided to assign the second prize to two projects, proclaimed second equal, both discussed by the Faculty of Architecture of the Università Roma Tre (supervisor Prof. Luigi Franciosini). The first one is a project for a new church in Cusco in Peru, done by Irene Marchesi; the second one is a project for the parish complex entitled to S. Carlo Borromeo in Roma - Tor Pagnotta, done by Gabriel Narino.
The prize for the winner is 4000, 00 (four thousand) €; both the runner-ups are assigned a prize of 2000, 00 (two thousand) €. |
