In <strong>1951 ordained priest<\/strong> in Milan Cathedral by Cardinal Schuster and the same year was his first painting exhibition at the 'S. Fedele' Gallery in Milan presented by Mario Sironi. Fedele' in Milan presented by Mario Sironi.<br \/>In <strong>1954 received the 1st 'S. Fedele' painting prize. Fedele' and the 3rd 'Marzotto' Prize<\/strong>.<br \/>From <strong>1958 to 1962 he attended the Brera Academy<\/strong> and graduated in sculpture with a thesis on Christian epigraphic symbols in the catacombs. He cultivated encounters with artists and architects: Fontana, Dova, Capogrossi, Crippa, Le Corbusier, Alvar Aalto.<br \/>In <strong>1959 Established his art studio in the Convent of Canepanova in Pavia<\/strong>where he continued his work as a painter and sculptor and devoted himself to the study of the sacred space with the design of chapels and the search for new forms for sacred furnishings and ornaments as well as sacred vestments and artistic stained-glass windows made of lead-blown antique glass.<br \/>He collaborated with a number of Italian architects, including Figini and Pollini, Gi\u00f2 Ponti, Gardella, Castiglioni, Vaccaro, Gresleri, Trebbi and Nervi, on the construction of new churches and, having become passionate about the subject, he tackled the realisation of his own sacred architecture projects together with architect Luigi Leoni.<br \/><strong>1977 is the first church<\/strong> of Santa Maria della Gioia in Varese.<br \/><strong>In 1986<\/strong> is in charge of the work at <strong>Weekday Chapel in the Cathedral of Milan<\/strong>and realised all the elements of the new liturgical space.<br \/><strong>In 1987<\/strong> is commissioned to build the <strong>New Shrine of Our Lady of Divine Love in Rome<\/strong>consecrated on 4 July 1999 by Pope John Paul II.<br \/><strong>In 1993<\/strong> plans, for the city of Yamaguchi <strong>in Japan, the new shrine of St Francis Xavier<\/strong>opened on 29 April 1998.<br \/><strong>Since 1993<\/strong> promotes, thanks to the <strong>Brother Sun Foundation<\/strong> created by him, the promotion of sacred art by instituting the four-yearly 'Frate Sole' award.<br \/>At <strong>end of 2006<\/strong> is consecrated <strong>in Bethlehem the new chapel of the Theotokos<\/strong> next to the Sanctuary of the Grotta del Latte being restored.<br \/>The <strong>24 June 2007, in Adro<\/strong>his home town, the inauguration of his latest sculptural work depicting <strong>the 'face of Franciacorta'<\/strong>.<br \/>The <strong>25 June 2007, Father Costantino passed away in Merate hospital<\/strong>near the Sabbioncello Convent, where he spent the last weeks of his life.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-234a0fc elementor-align-center elementor-widget elementor-widget-button\" data-id=\"234a0fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"button.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-button-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-button elementor-button-link elementor-size-md\" href=\"https:\/\/www.padrecostantino.it\/padre-costantino-ruggeri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-button-text\">www.padrecostantino.it<\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-44125b0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"44125b0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\"Try to infuse beauty into every day of your life.
