Father Costantino Ruggeri: Sister Light – an exhibition dedicated to art and light

From 1 October to 8 November 2026 the Diocesan Museum of Brescia presents Father Costantino Ruggeri. Sister Light, exhibition dedicated to the figure and artistic research of Fr. Costantino Ruggeri, Franciscan friar and protagonist of the renewal of 20th-century sacred art.

At the centre of the exhibition is a artistic stained glass by Fr. Costantino Ruggeri, accompanied by works and materials that allow a deeper insight into her creative process and the particular relationship between light, colour, art and spirituality.

Light represents one of the central elements of Ruggeri's research. Through the colour and transparency of his stained glass windows, it becomes true artistic matter, capable of transforming the perception of space and directly engaging the visitor.

Sister Light Thus, it proposes a path through one of the most recognizable aspects of the work of Fr. Costantino Ruggeri, in which stained glass, painting, architecture and sacred space they come together, giving rise to a personal and immediately recognizable language.
