Art and music in the church of San Basilio

As part of the Contemporary Churches Route, the Fondazione Frate Sole participates in the meeting Art and music in the church of San Basilioan afternoon dedicated to the dialogue between architecture, art and music.

The initiative aims to enhance the church designed by Costantino Ruggeri, a Franciscan friar, painter and architect, one of the most significant figures in contemporary sacred art.

The programme includes:

  • Presentation of the church and the works of Costantino Ruggeri, by architect Luigi Leoni, president of the Frate Sole Foundation of Pavia and collaborator of Fra' Costantino.

  • Concert of contemporary sacred music by the Cantiere di Legnano Choir, directed by Roberta Mangiacavalli.

The event is organised in collaboration with Marta Martino Lazzaro, the Archdiocese of Milan and the Cantiere Choir, and is part of the project to enhance contemporary sacred architecture in the diocese of Milan.
