DREAM AND POETRY
"I had seen in a weekly magazine, I don't remember which one, a photo of a self-portrait by Giorgio de Chirico. It must have been from the Metaphysical period, I think 1920. The portrait had a green sky in the background. It was for me a window that opened wide and spurred me on towards completely new, unexpected, exciting horizons. I understood from that green sky that everything was possible in art, and everything had to become dreams and poetry'.
